Very recently NBKS has set up an own Charitable Health & Eye Clinic for providing free medical treatment to the local people as well as their orphan children and elder persons.
Collective living with mutual co-operation, help and support contributes professedly towards proper growth and enrichment of the society. Born on the same planet, covered by the same sky, gazing at the same stars, breathing the same air, men in society must learn to progress together with complete faith on the teaching that services to mankind are service to God. Such realization and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose have greatly influenced a section of people who are mentally hurt and perturbed to see the distress and sufferings of the poor and under-privileged people in the society. They are very much concerned and become restless to bring about a social change for upliftment of the condition of the poor people by rendering dedicated and selfless social services. Humanitarian sentiments within these people are highly stimulated by the ideals, teachings and dedicated services of the great men.
Keeping in view the ideals and thoughts of our two great spiritual thinkers and national leaders, a social welfare organization in the name of Nikhil Banga Kalyan Samity (NBKS) was founded on the auspicious day of 23rd January, 1964 being the birth day of our great national hero, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. With a view to bringing about all round development in the life of the rural poor and backward in the society, NBKS initially started functioning from its small office located on a plot of land at Vill: Samali, P.O. Na-hazari, P.S. Bishnupur, Dist. 24-Parganas (South).
NBKS is registered under the Society Registration Act, 1961 and having its Registered Office at 57/1A, Chetla Road, Kolkata- 700 027.
NBKS is having Income Tax exemption certificate under section 80G of the Income tax Act.

Alipur Barta
Unless there is awareness about the rights and privileges to which poor people living in the nook and corner of the villages are entitled, no fruitful services can be rendered for benefit of these people. With a view to creating such awareness among the marginal poor villagers NBKS started publishing ALIPUR BARTA, a regional weekly newspaper in Bengali from 13th October, 1966 for the district of 24 Parganas. With valuable contributions from the eminent personalities from the filed of literature, poetry and media, the paper has enriched itself and has become popular among the people. Till now the paper is being published uninterruptedly during last 43 years.
Free Computer Training Centre
NBKS has also started a Free Computer Training Centre for the poor students with the financial assistance from Indian Oil Corporation, Kolkata.
Bhalo-Basha
NBKS has provided a part of lands for setting up a burial ground for the loving animals and birds with an endeavor to provide mental peace to the animal and pet lovers, who visit here and bury their fond pets under the dense shades of the trees. Subsequently, 1st May, 2007 we established shelter house, named ‘Bhalo-Basha’ for the helpless animals, which, we believe, would be a source of joy and satisfaction to all animal lovers.
